Now that I have found a new career for a great company, let me help you. I’ll start by giving you a tip. If you apply online for a job, be sure to attach a resume, use spell check, and for the love of god, do not LIE! If you are asked why you are looking for work or have left your previous job, be honest and say you were laid off! As a hiring manager, I will understand! But if your resume looks like you threw it together last minute and there are inconsistencies or I catch you in a lie (we check social media!), I won’t be able to hire you and help you on the path to happiness. Hey I am that person I forgot to send you my resume. Can I still have a job? I think Chuck E Cheese would be a great opportunity for me and they made you the hiring manager so they obviously know talent. Come on man we worked together and I’d never lie to you we’re blood brothers.

Hey everybody I’m a creepy hiring manager looking at your Facebook profile hoping you’re dumb enough to set your posts to public, so I can catch you in a lie and say “gotcha!”. Please be honest and tell me you were laid off and tell me how bad it made you feel. Also remember to write a resume and if you have a job interview show up for that at the scheduled time.
