Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

Will the new plans help???

Our stores are dreadfully slow. People need to make money. Bad enough I have been a top rep and my commission is down 30% from last year.

Who on earth is going to buy from Verizon Retail when you can buy from an MVNO ( and get their free WiFi) like Spectrum or Comcast etc for less than $50 a month per line? It doesn’t make sense. Get out of Verizon retail. They don’t need unions...they need to close.

Plain and simple, the product is lacking. While there are good and bad sales reps, they will always be outsold by the cheaper alternative. If this were 2005 - 2009, this plan could've done some damage to disrupt the flow of all carriers. The problem is that your average consumer and mobile user wants their phone to work and not get charged an arm and a leg.

If you have been in sales and with the company for a while now (5 years+), it's time to move to big ticket sales territory with better margins and commission. I'm not talking about phones, but rather do what the company has failed to do within the last 10 years, sell solutions to people/groups/consumers. The company wanted to rebrand itself as a solutions company, but failed. Take the plunge and your experience and move onto sales avenues outside of retail.

You have the drive and you have the hunger for it. Go into inside sales, try your hand at bulk deals, move into being a sales engineer that offer companies solutions. If you learn the products and imprint them into memory, you can achieve higher commissions that you would never have achieved with this company.

This company has produced quality sales reps, time for other companies to realize that. Don't waste your talent where it's not appreciated and paying you your worth.

Once again a post created by the MGMT team it seems like...They know doing this BS, they’re still getting paid no matter what. These guys get paid well over 100K gor god’s sakw I ask for doing what, rarher than running their mouths? How abt taking their “UNACCOUNTED FOR INCOME(Which is a total waste, which is what Verizon pays them for), can got towards our raise, simply put than ever, I’ve seen that go very well, in my district. All political games, whoever kisses A** to the DM gets somewhere. We haven’t gone no where else but make those DMs & GMs look good. It has come down to favorable schedule being gievn on Sundays if ur ARD is below $120, its ethically wrong. Whoever choses “A” schedule, gets that in order in which it has been requested. Shouldn’t that be reported “DIRECTLY” in the media througj some sort of communication?? Bcz calling HR is a joke is seems like...oh btw any grammatical errors or any BA like that fron the mgmnt side is more than welcome..I dont care, the wuestion is who cares, one should ask themselves that question. SMs & GMs will b watching this post & give their fake motovational support.

Won't help store traffic, the company is purposely trying to keep people out of stores and get them to shop on line... writing has been on the wall for couple of years. People in my district are dropping like flies, if they aren't quitting because of the c-ap a– commission they are being written up for not hitting numbers.
