Anybody here have an opinion on the recent company puzzle building class? To those of you who don't know what I'm referring to ... we were sent to a class where we built puzzles and talked about the new Verizon 2.0. goals and mindset. The class (employees of assorted job titles, with 20 to 35 years in the company) were assured by the instructors (who have all of 6 months in the company) that this time Verizon is really listening to you and cares what you think. Then after the class you head back to the CO where some genius has decided that it's OK for the temperature to be 90 degrees as long as the equipment is not failing. Oh well, thanks for the coffee and donuts anyway.

Was in videotaped? If so, that's ALWAYS a bad sign.
I thought it was beneficial. I am much better at puzzles now.
Definitely. The most vocal and least supportive of the new change will be off the payroll in a few months. Watch. This is the new HR tool to lay off older people without being sued.
Expect someone to be laid off.
