Cisco RTP - Recruiting for Contractors Already

Customer Success Engineer – TAC | Cisco | Contract-to-Hire | RTP

XXXX, I came across your profile and I am looking to connect with network engineering professionals like yourself in the RTP area. The reason I am reaching out is to see if you or anyone you may know would be interested in learning more about a few positions that I have with Cisco in RTP. I am looking for someone who has strong communication skills and working with customers and solving problems around Cisco’s Digital Network Architecture (DNA) – and routing & switching protocols as well as some L4 application protocols as well. This person should have a fundamental understanding of SNMP, SSH, IGP, EGP and other protocols alike. Also working with database management and some VMware tools also. If you or someone you may know would be interested in getting your foot in the door with Cisco as high-level support engineer and having a high probability of going FTE then please don’t hesitate to reach out via email at XXXXXXXXXX All the best – XXXXXXXXXXXX Senior Recruiting Partner | Cisco Systems

Just received this message. Appears that Cisco is already recruiting for replacements of employees who were impacted.

These recruiters should know, or learn very quickly, that anyone impacted by the LR can't come back for 6 months, so why are they asking "if you" would be interested in getting your foot in the door? They just want to get names of potential candidates from you and are only looking out for themselves.

It p-ss-d me off when I was first LR'd and recruiters were contacting me about new red badge positions on my old team saying how I was a perfect fit. Of course I was, it was my damn job to begin with. After you twisted the knife that Cisco stuck in my back, do you really think I'm going to give you names of my friends to come here so you can make a commission? Really? I might give you names of guys who can't pass a screening interview so you waste your time like you're wasting mine.

Makes complete sense just like a high school chemistry equation!

2FTE(G10)+2LRs=6Contractors

6Contractors+6LRs=10,000(G13)RSUs

"and having a high probability of going FTE "

That's hilarious...

I tell that to every recruiter that ever calls me about a contract gig at Cisco. I don't know if they believe their own b—s—, or they just like lying.

Worked at Cisco and watched the games they played with the Red badges. No thanks!

the wheels on the bus go round & round

  • LR eliminates FTEs
  • Hire contractors
  • Make them fight for FTE
  • Some contractors win FTE
  • Others contractors let go
  • Time passes
  • Repeat from above
