Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

How do you know US is done for now?

I see people saying with confidence here that US is done for this quarter - or at least for this layoffs round. How do you know? I really want to believe you, the last thing I need is to stress even more about more possible cuts this week, but there was no official notification that it was over, at least not one I've heard of.

So how do you know? Is it a reliable source? Can I relax?

It has been an annual exercise and will be so for the foreseeable future, as long as you have GE trained finance executives at key finance leadership positions.

There is never an announcement that it’s over. Not since JC left anyway.
If it’s going to stress you out that much, seriously consider whether Cisco is the right place for you to work... you will read (mostly accurate) reports consistently here about impending and current layoffs. They happen multiple times a year.
Get some savings, a doable plan B in mind, and just get on with your job. Otherwise you’ll be climbing the walls continuously.

Let's just say if they did one in August, there is always January / February... It is never done.

I'm a janitor. It's not done.
