August 9th Mid Year Review Closure - ReOrg next week

Imanage employee-to-manager survey, Burning platform quick review with VP's across Aero and Mid Year Reviews close August 9th; all complete. Speculation is the hard hitting ReOrg/RIM will start Aug. 12-17th. A little birdie told me.... It sounds like a conspiracy stuff; thoughts?

Note:
About 6 weeks ago I posted a conversation regarding EEI and Yield. 2 weeks ago, HR communicated to the site managers that EEI, Yield and DDLP were not to be used in employee reviews. And, if the data was in HPD, pull it out. It took a year of difficult persistent HR conversations; they finally moved on it. If your site is still doing it, use E&PS HR as the reference to pull it.

What is the Over/Under for something happening this week? Historically, actions were scheduled and rescheduled many times before it finally happened (e.g. 2016).

April 2015 article seems to answer question of whether other companies have done this:

The actions being discussed here (RIM, taking away of MIP, lowering of titles, and lowering of bands) all seem unprecedented. Any other company pull something like this off? Is this just Aero or company wide? Anyone willing to share some specifics... What is the target reductions? How many managers will be walked out? Will any band 4's that don't have 20+ direct reports still get MIP? Who is driving this – Big AD or little TM? Seems pretty chaotic and panicky. Is there a reason to be panicking or is this just blatant greed as mentioned by prior reply?

PS. The flattening of hierarchy will also mean band 4s may as of next week be moved into band 3 status, with the accompanying reduction of salary. And further more if I'd not made it clear in my last post the whole "burning platform" game was devised as managers auditioning for directors—and having their status determined based on these 2-3 minute farces. If you haven't already bailed, I'd strongly recommend it—if you cannot bail, brace yourself for misery. And yes all this after aero posted it's most successful quarter in the history of the company. Greed is staggering.

It's all true. Married to an aero manager who has found a new job–just in time. The the hierarchy is being flattened. Certain directors will be demoted to Sr. Managers. Mangers will be re -organized to take on larger teams of 15-30. The "burning platform" gimmick has been all about Directors determining which managers will stay, be demoted or leave.

My tier 5 told me that "he would be evaluated based on my overtime." I just looked at him and thought to myself, "SU*KS TO BE YOU!!"

EEI = Engineering Efficiency Index it is code word for unpaid overtime in some parts of Aero Engineering. Aero management has set a goal of 1.15 which equates to 6 hours/week. The goal is only in the US, not in place like Canada who either get paid or can take the time later HR doesn't want any part of something that sounds like mandatory OT because that could lead to claims that if they are being measured in hours they should be considered hourly workers and get paid for the OT
This board seems to lean heavily toward Aero Engineering

Agree with -imz. In Aero ES managers are supposed "inspire" and manage assignments to get their people into meeting the EEI and DDLP without mentioning the goal. Managers who don't get those numbers are told they need to be get "on message". But just because EEI and DDLP are not mentioned, don't believe that those numbers aren't tracked at the individual level. They are and they are a factor in the rank and yank HPD/PIP process

EEI, DDLP, and EIEIO are used as quantitative measures of manager and director effectiveness of overburdening salaried employees. When a director has a low number, they will be asked to “get your numbers up, 1.1 EEI is not a zealot number. We need 1.25, don’t take no for an answer.”
