Why are so many Women still leaving NIKE?

Curious why no one is commenting on the significant number of women leaving NIKE.....
I know many women who have left, or have ‘left’ or who have been demoted across all levels.
Doesn’t look like much has changed with regards to the power of the boys club????

If you think Nike pays well you really need to get outside the berm. Market pay at best and middle of the road benefits. Awesome campus though. I hated working there before I quit,,, and yet that campus still draws me in to look now and then.

There are so many women leaving because this place s—s. I gave my blood sweat and tears to this place for over two decades. The only women who get ahead are walking HR violations! So frustrating!

Check out this year’s sustainability report where they disclosed representation numbers. They had to switch the approach from last year (reported on a FY) to a calendar year to hide the drop in representation. They needed an extra 6 months to bring in new, diverse employees to hide the people leaving.

The bigger question is why aren't more people leaving? The answer isn't simple but one reason is money. Nike has a lot of money. They can afford to put 'golden handcuffs' on people. It's hard to walk away from. Personally, I put up with a lot of abuse to keep my nike pay. In the end it wasn't worth what it did to my physical and emotional health.

Personally, no. In my little corner of Nike I haven’t noticed a disproportionate or unusual number of women leaving. Not saying it ISN’T happening. Just saying that for such a claim, I’d prefer to rely on data points as opposed to someone’s anecdotal observations.

This is a big company, and one thing I’ve definitely noticed over the years is that the culture can differ greatly from one business unit to another. Unless you’re a very senior employee I’m not sure how you’d have insight into who is and isn’t leaving company-wide.

Nike is still rife with misogynistic senior leaders and middle management s—ups.
It shouldn't be a surprise that women are realizing that they don't have to put up with their abuse. Hopefully some will hire lawyers.

Well I know for me it was a work/life balance issue. They talk like flexible hours are acceptable, and in some groups it is, but it wasn’t in mine. 50-60 hour weeks, most of those physically in the office, were expected, and I heard the same from most of my internal network.
