Its called "cooking the books" to appease investors and mke Suits rich. Its illegal, and destroys companies.

The seasonal employee to which they spoke was a former department manager, who managed to get back on as a seasonal, at a much lower rate of pay. That was written into the article as part of her work history with Lowe's.

I follow some plumbing and electrical pages so I made sure they got to see it. It's insane how badly contractors think of us. If I can keep even one person from shopping at Lowe's it's a good day.

It doesn't help much interviewing laid off seasonal workers. Every new hire should know they have an expiration date.
