Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

"Internal Open Jobs"

So assuming that some portion of the Internal job postings are actually real (bigassumption)...

Why are almost all of the job postings in big HQ locations like Richardson, RTP , SJ, SF, and NY, etc etc?

“As we realign some of our teams, we are working closely with impacted employees to match them where possible with the wide variety of roles currently open across Cisco.”

Oh. So that explains it.

So many fake job announcements, so few H1bs...

Seems like a pretty reasonable question to me. Why are there so few internal remote work options especially with Cisco constantly pumping up it's remote virtual work environment product?

Wow. Guess the HR leeches are bored now that their part in the August bloodbath is over.

Although Cisco is generally supportive of remote work, I think most hiring managers prefer their teams to be located at one of the primary work sites. I haven’t heard of any widespread crackdowns on remote work though.

  • that’s a question? REALLY?

It still surprises me how the American economy is so strong given its citizens low levels of intelligence and common sense...
