A package with incentives will be offered this September to all CWA/IBEW Staff with an off dates staggard until the end of December.
Areas and positions that are declared surplus will have a specific number of off-payroll staff permitted to leave.
Geographic Areas that not declared surplus will still have a limited offering.
CWA/IBEW has been assured that essential positions vacated by senior staff will be filled through SPV's first then new hires.

If true, and discusses new hires, the union will have additional members. The question is my brothers and sisters, retiree benefits are negotiated. Will these new members be willing to strike for us as we did for ourselves and the retirees??

Call your Local tomorrow guys the word was coming to them this week. From what I've heard today is the Locals did not fully have all the info and we're keeping it obviously down till an official declaration.

I am hoping this is true. Not because Verizon is a despicable company because it isn't. If it was so bad, they would not need incentives to get people to leave. I suggest talking to a financial advisor before making any koves

Finally got some info.....I called the National and spoke with a lady who said she is aware of Verizon approaching the Union with a buyout that had an end of 2019 offer although she didn't much have details this has to be it.....she did say it included hiring. The 3rd liner in my area said he heard rumblings all day today that this is coming for the very first time.
