Dyn has been decimated from around 400 to 150. Office space has been collapsed in recent weeks from two floors in the building to one single floor and a skeleton crew. Everything that made Dyn a fun place to work (slide, multiple varieties of beer on tap, taking dogs to work, etc.) is now gone. Many have been told to report to traditional Oracle Nashua, NH office.
Basically Oracle has tightened the screws so tight that the object is to squeeze the remaining employees out by making them miserable. Then shut down the office.
Nearly all remaining employees are looking to flee Oracle. Many who have been laid off have already landed at far more satisfying and lucrative gigs.
There’s a sense in the office that leaving Oracle (whether voluntarily or involuntarily) is 100% a good thing and is better for one’s career. Those landing in better jobs are only proof points for this.
