Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Confirmed Rumors with Reorg warnings

I would like to call attention to a post on this site made about a month ago. It contained several rumors two of which have recently been confirmed. It lends credibility to potential reorgs coming in September and another around Easter. Just want to bring this up for possible confirmation on the other things listed in this post.

Possible Stock hit & Reorg in September
Rumor is some of the lawsuits filed in the past on cloud revenue have some strong evidence and good testimony. Only thing keeping the court cases on hold is the stock price. No one has suffered a loss in spite of the inflated numbers.

This was posted before the news of the netsuite lawsuit brought about by the fire fighters. They are also suing over misrepresented cloud sales.

Bad news is coming on some business practices that will more than likely have a negative impact on the stock price. There are several Government investigations inside and outside the US right now on Oracle business practices. If the stock tumbles it will be a double whammy as the lawsuits will kick in.
Employment discrimination cases are still underway. Women minorities and now age discrimination employment, these lawsuits are on a separate track but may surface at the same time.
Additionally there is a rumor of a senior executive stepping down some time between September and the end of the year.

Confirmed: Mark Hurd just stepped down due to a medical leave.

The big red 12 running cloud have some serious political infighting and some very unrealistic deadlines.
Total rumor at this point but rumor is some security and networking issues need to be addressed in the gen2 cloud.
Roll out in Australia may have problems coupled with some less than ethical business practices may come to light.
Even if everything is good a major shift is planned for the on premise products and work force next spring around Easter.
All I can say is a perfect storm is brewing.

Why would database not be lumped with the other on premise products, They too have been hit by layoffs and reorganizations. The database doesn't seem to have any special status.

"Meg Whitman"

Because she did such a great job at HPE. /sarc

What would she do if handed over the reins? Would she split O like she did with HP? All the old on prem biz into one company (Oracle Enterprise), the database and the cloud into another (Oracle Inc)?
