Are there still Accounting Associates? What hours do you work and what other areas do you work in?

WE lost our job!!!! Do you realize that you are getting paid significantly less than those front end team leads by doing their job? Think about that a minute. The moment they took that away, it fell into their hands. No way am I responsible for a job that they signed off on. Stand your ground and request to be put in to the job they are putting you in. You do not lose your pay. They agreed to their job duties when they signed off....sit on that a minute or two!
What a joke...no changes in the way accounting is run in our club...in fact the the two associates do next to nothing in my opinion. Corporate may make changes but who is going to ensure that the changes are implemented? Oh they do use the accounting people to do orientation now...and work in personnel...such a joke.
Our accounting associate is technically frontline but still does accounting 8-12 and AM member service leads (myself included) work her days off
Understanding the accounting department is to be completed by the member service leads, with minimal associates on the floor the time and energy is focused on the floor so i come in, the ex-cash office lead.. I put the tills out, complete the cash office including the reports that still print out and clear errors that the other leads have successfully created.. I'm in the office from 6-9 unless i need to be in the floor then it's 1-2:30. I also have assisted with personnel stuff.. Why couldn't they combine the two departments! CM still wants account control and needs answers for his MM and ALWAYS looks to me for answers.. Is this job security?! LOL!
7 - 1:30 wow. Thats 3 more hours than I had. But then again they gave my position to the COS's who created 75% of the problems
Accounting associates are now considered frontline in my club. The member service team leads are now doing accounting in the mornings
Work 7 to 3:30 , work on front end last 2 hours of shift.
