Aaaaaahhhh! The truth is that the managers should be promoted from within so that they know their job! Not hired off of the street with only computer skills.
9th 1st level boss in the last 3 years. New 2nd level is nothing more than a glorified accountant who reads spreadsheets. None of them have any experience with field ops whatsoever. Newest 1st level came from selling cell phones....enough said

@115OLPdt-1klb Never rely on overtime....it will be never ending, and you won’t have a life.....then there will be 0.....it ebbs and flows.....I understand that you don’t have no lay-off coverage....but those of us that do are going to be leaving in the next 5 years.....if you can stomach what has become the culture......stick it out as long as you can.....Wireline is not dead as much as they would like you to believe that....

Do you think the company is setting us up for layoffs? If there is no work but in the flagging gang, like previously posted, what will they do with the rest of us? I never have seen it so slow, guys/girls are doing absolutely zero... will I last another 15 years here or should I just leave now? I don’t think even if there was a package offer, many will leave unless it’s good, like 4&4 with 1000 dollars a month till social security. I
Many areas have catv fiber in place, writing on wall..many new frmn are from catv mainly optimum, can be coincidence or something else, who knows. Rumors of eisp, per contract can be offered 1x a year,.. if it happens during 4th Q per rumors, some will take, most will ride out contract. 5g is the new game on block. Can be slow because something coming, or at least in NE region, last years storms created unlimited OT and they are trying to cut back...10 billion promised to investors in cuts...have a year left.. and half $ to go.

fios is dead in the water. techs are staying in doing computer courses. managers are not on our backs at the moment. many waiting for an offer to get out.
