I’m a previous associate of 14 years, I left when the audit team was displaced. I have an interview tomorrow for member team lead(COS), I was just wondering how the interview process works now with workday handling it. Do the managers still conduct the interviews and how long before you know if you get the position? We used to tell the people that day most of the time. I’ve just been away for 2 years so just wasn’t sure. Thanks

In actual answer to your question
Once you do the interview if they decide to hire you for the position you will need to watch your email for an offer letter. If the hiring person is on top of it the letter can be sent the day of the interview. You sign the letter electronically, once it comes back to the store that it's signed, you will receive another email that does not come from WORKDAY which will be the background check. Many people don't open it on time, respond in time (you have 48 hours from the time it is sent) or don't read how to do it correctly which means it has to be resent which can take about a week. If you follow the instructions, we usually have it back in 48-96 hours and an orientation can be scheduled. I can usually get someone in from start to finish in about 10 days as long as everything is done correctly and the system doesn't screw up anything.
Dont know your situation but it must be bad to want to come back. After your interview you will get a offer letter in your email if they want you. They may also tell you they are going to hire you but you just have to go thru all the steps. Usually a couple of weeks when Workday is not down. If you get hired as a COS you will probably be getting a raise from your previous 14 years of service.
WHY would you even want to go back??????
Why not ask someone who works there and see what is going on?
Former associate offered a job that will probably net them a pretty decent starting rate. And no one else in the club is trying to get one of those cherry spots at the front that pay them big bucks.
RUN ! Sams is a cluster f*!#$. You now have to do pretty much everything in a shorter period of time. There are much better opportunities elsewhere with a fraction of the aggravation
From what we hear it's taking about a month or so to finally get in.
Do you know how long the process is getting back in after the interview?
Be prepared to do audits, join all the other audit team members that didn't leave that are doing all audits for team leads. At my club we are given the monthly audits that need to be done and we do them. Gook luck to you, I'm sure you are in, no doubt about that.
Don't do it. You will regret coming back.
