Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

State of the Company

About 10 months since the you-know-what hit the fan, and here is the current state of affairs:

  • Sales and revenue continue to plummet
  • customers are running to competitors
  • competition uses Xerox as a punchline of a joke in their sales pitches to our existing customers
  • the HCL venture has been a DISASTER. Leaked documents, lies by management, incompetent replacements in foreign countries, and great American employees bolting this sh—show for better careers elsewhere
  • GIS is dead, replaced by the corpse known as XBS
  • no one wants to purchase this t–d sandwich, other than maybe HP where I-CONN probably has pictures of board members in compromising positions as leverage to make them make the sale

Other than that, everything is GREAT! Well done Johnnie $23M Man Douchebag V and scumbag Carl, well done.

PS - Conduent! LOL

Expecting more cuts in 2-3 weeks -another poor conclusion to the quarter

Even though HP seems likely, I'm not convinced they have enough interest. They know our books are a mess and the processes are a disaster. They know we don't invest enough in R&D. They would need a lot of faith that JohnV can clean everything up. Further, they claim they don't want to have that much of their revenue be dependent on print. They may pass. More likely it's Icahn 101 - take the company private and split or split it up now.

Seems the recent legal issue (Icn & Dea May 2018 settlement agreement not valid) would cause any potential buyer to pause. Won’t know until at least November how this impacts Xerox and who has authority to negotiate anything.

Could HP buy Xerox and Fuji Xerox together?

With toner a commodity (and counterfeiting rampant), 2021 looming, and customers fleeing, what value is to be derived from a purchase? Items:

  • properties? No
  • patents? Yes, hardly worth $40/share
  • infrastructure? No
  • market share customers: Yes, but quickly eroding
  • 3D capability: LOL
  • igen: maybe

Then there is the risk to a buyer:

  • 2021 Fuji
  • diligence reveals XRX strategy without any realistic execution
  • IT about to implode early 2020
  • HCL supported function backlash underway
  • unusual accounting practices and audit risk
  • Stock market technical data manipulation potential bleeding into any agreement

I am wondering about 2 things:

  • Is Dion stepping down as HP CEO changing anything? Although Steve seems tight with Enrique
  • What is Fuji thinking/doing to protect their investments in FX (apart from the $1B lawsuit!) as they are still highly dependent on its revenue and profit?

Anyone has insights on this? Any new recent developments?

There is still the issue of Fuji, the crown jewels and timing. Can Xerox hold out till 2021 to be free of the Fuji arrangement? And, how many global customers will leave during this time?
