Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Verizon BoD Changes Needed

What began the downward path for Verizon was the purchase of the Vodafone shares at 130 billion dollars. Should have purchased it at 30 billion when Denny suggested. But Verizon, always looking for a bargain paid 130 billion for the shares. Nothing but poorly thought out plans have followed.

Fending off bankruptcy or an out right sell where Verizon is no longer the owner is tough to do when the only egg they want in their basket is 5g.

If Verizon survives it will be under a different BOD.

Vz had people assigned to monitor the Vodafone bidding for ATT, but they went to bed instead. When they woke up, they learned that Vodafone was outbid - right away, VZ realized they fell asleep at the wheel-this would end up costing them billions. They could have ‘helped’ Vodafone to get out of our way, but messed that up big time. That’s the real story.

Why are there currently an even number of Directors on the Corporate Board, ten (10), and not an odd number, critical, for when voting to making decisions?????

Provoking idea. There is merit for the reestablishment and future governance whereby the two top positions need to be split.
