Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

This is lasting longer than I expected

I honestly didn't expect the new system would last this long. I was certain they'd be reversing course by now. Is this actually working out in some (to me incomprehensible) way?

We are also still 25 people down. It is not working at all. Overtime still being given to anyone who wants it.

This is exactly what the company wants. Less people to pay attempting to do the same amount of work.

If evening crew stays well past 11:30 and stocks half the club it works but if the evening crew is leaving at 11:30 then no way unless everything in your club is stocked ankle high which in turn causes your reserve steel to be extremely full and a greater safety risk. Whoever thought the evening crew getting off at 11:30 was a good idea is probably the same person who thinks click n pull using the small blue crates instead of shopping carts has obviously never worked in a club. One case of water basically fills the crate. The people running Sams still thinks we should operate as a Wal-Mart.

Anyone who gets on here and claims the system is working is a troll. There isn't a single club in the country that it hasn't wreaked havoc in. Not one. The ONLY way this system could ever possibly work ANYWHERE, would be if it's in a club that is staffed like twelve years ago and has volume of less than $45 million. In other words, there's no such thing as a well run Sam's Club location.

Agreed with the person a few below me. Our club has been doing it for roughly almost two years now. We're still going strong.

They are constantly trying to change our schedules. They of course are trying to guilt us into letting them change it, some of us of course are refusing. They won't even let us take unpaid time off until we've used up all of our pto. I don't think any of it is fair. Why have us sign something if it doesn't mean anything?

If your 20 people short then stop lying to yourself. If your club is fine and that many people short then your club has very little sales and it will be one of the clubs that gets closed.

Works perfectly at my club. Docks always clear, floors always stocked, and associates are happy.

When you have a bad attitude like everyone on this site. It reflects into your job.

We’re still short like 20 on head count and it still runs soo smoothly
