Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Where is innovation?

Does Xerox even know anymore what that word means?

It's been a while since I been to Rochester but I can understand why JohnV wants out. Fortune 500 companies are still stuck on COBOL for all the unfortunate reasons too. And Oracle Java? Tell me why that matters? Java is from the 90s and it needs to stay there. DUH could be more articulate but she is 100% correct. Either get your skills up to date or find another career.

TECH POWERHOUSE using SUN MICRO JAVA on the front end. Is this innovation to you?

Ok Duh,

Since Oracle acquired Java in 2009, its kind of a stretch to say all front ends (assuming MFD) are running SUN ten years later. But I suppose is possible and you didn’t say it. I stand corrected but cross platform backend is dominated by PHP and Java.

Gee Duh, get with 2019. Oracle picked up Java from Sun SOOOOOO long ago. Many Fortune 500 are running Java on the backend. Perhaps you are referring to the front end?

Didn't you see the heavy use of Java? Everyone loves Java, it be looking good and it's very fast. Sun marketing told me so. Install the Axe toolbar while too and you can be TECH POWERHOUSE for the win!
