NO severance offered for eliminated positions .. if you’re waiting around for that you’re headed for disappointment. Sams Club didn’t realize how many associates would jump at the chance to get severance pay. And believe me. .. They didn’t give all those huge raises without a motive in mind.. I don’t know what the motive is. But it’s coming

Back when they went third part for wireless, they didn’t offer severance at our store and that was over a year ago. They just had everyone move to different positions in the store. Since then, all of them have left for new jobs.
That's why they lumped many jobs under one title. They can move people around and not have to offer a severance package. Night crew was probably the last one they had to offer.
No you’re wrong. They want you to quit without severance. They make your job so difficult and so different than what you’re used to that you quit. Especially if you’re elderly. So wrong...
They do not offer severance if your position is absorbed into another one. That is mostly what they are doing now.
Jewelry team lead. Eliminated. No severance
Offered.
Policy still states that if your position is eliminated you will receive 1 year of pay for every year of service paying severance is cheaper than someone being employed for several more years with benefits they do not mind paying severance and they certainly can afford it even if you were a 20 year associate 20 weeks of pay is nothing if you stay with the company you are going to get 52 weeks of pay plus benefits they save money every time they eliminate positions and pay severance that is why they do it they want a part time work force with no benefits they want you to leave that is why they offer severance they are paying you to go away trust me every time they offer severance they hope you take it
I was overnight receiving when they eliminated the position and I was offered severance.
They never listen. They just want to continue to complain.
