I was laid off from Lowe's in July 2019. After 16 plus years of working for them. I really figured it was coming but hoping I would stay on long enough to retire in a few months. That didn't happen. It doesn't matter what this person heard or what that person said. It's all speculation here. Over the back fence gossip. The only ones who knows is the top suits at Lowe's HQ and they won't talk because they love their over paid salaries.
So ignore the gossip. Cuts are being made in the corporate world in every company and everywhere in the world. Even school teachers in private catholic schools are going by the wayside. Soon will be public schools. Be prepared. Invest in knowledge. Some kind of technical job, welder, plumber, electrician or what ever interests you. There is a great shortage in those fields and they pay very well with very little schooling. Get and be ready for just about everything and if anything, take a chance on what you love to do not just a job to work because that is the only way the little person will win against these monster corps
