Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

People First

Help me understand this... All metrics are trhough the roof, we are doing really good, executing exceptionally - so, we decide to lay people off? How is this a "People First" strategy - this is anything but... Oh, well. Crony capitalism I guess, nobody cares about the worker any more...

They haven’t cared about people since Andy took the realm. I truly consider all of the people at my branch family. I have an ongoing medical issue. Went back to work early so Everyone could get vacation days in. Lucky me. I have no job in two months

I don’t get it either. Even in TOS we’re being required to do more with less people, processes that take longer to get things implemented, and policies that are counter productive. Change can be good but not the way it’s being forced to happen here. It’s been a ridiculous year with lots of poor decisions from our leaders.

Agreed. I will no longer shop at Walmart (Self check out = less employees), I will no longer eat at McDonalds (Kiosk=less employees), I will no longer do business with these companies who continue to lay people off. What is wrong with these companies? They don’t care about people. Why can’t they just do both so people can have jobs? They definitely don’t understand how to do business. I feel like we should go back to the old days and have a full branch staff. This way the employees will be happier. Stop worrying about making money and let’s just let everyone enjoy coming to work. We have got to start teaching the younger generation to stop using technology. They are affecting our jobs!
