“Most” of the people were older is an out and out lie. Specific positions were eliminated that are now considered obsolete in this digital age. It had absolutely nothing to do with anyone’s age or tenure. Be upset, but don’t lie about it.
I was told that they fired over 60 people on a conference line. Guess what? They were older individuals with years of experience.! How horrible.

I WAS AN EMPLOYEE FOR 26 + YEARS AND THEY FORCED ME INTO A NEW POSITION THAT I DID NOT WANT TO DO AND GAVE ME NO WARNING THAT THIS WAS GOING TO HAPPEN!!! I WAS FORCED TO PUSH THE DIGITAL MOBILE BANKING ON ALL MY CUSTOMERS ! ALOT OF MY CUSTOMERS WERE SENIOR CITIZENS THAT HAD NO WAY TO DO THIS THEY DIDNT OWN SMART PHONES OR COMPUTERS BUT I WAS TOLD TO KEEP PUSHING IT ON THEM. I WAS MISERABLE IN THIS POSITION AND TRIED IT FOR 5 MONTHS TRAINING WAS TERRIBLE AND THERE WAS ZERO SUPPORT TO LEARN IT OR HELP WITH IT. BRANCHES ARE ALL UNDERSTAFFED AND UPPER MANAGEMENT DOES NOT CARE. I TRIED TO TALK TO THE DISTRICT MANAGER AND ALL I GOT WAS THAT I NEEDED TO DO IT OR LEAVE THEY DID NOT CARE AT ALL THAT I HAD BEEN THERE AND LOYAL FOR SO LONG. SO 6 WEEKS AGO I LEFT I DO FEEL THEY ARE GETTING RID OF THE OLDER WORKERS BECAUSE THEY ARE LIKE ME AND NOT ALL OF THEM WANT TO DO THE DIGITAL AGE AND ALSO US BANK WANTS TO HIRE NEW YOUNGER ONES FOR LESS WAGES AND ALSO PART TIME SO THEY DON'T HAVE TO PAY BENEFITS! THIS IS A TERRIBLE COMPANY TO WORK FOR AND I FEEL LIKE I HAVE WASTED HALF OF MY LIFE AT A JOB THAT DID NOT EVER APPRECIATE ME! ALSO US BANK IS NO BETTER THEN WELLS FARGO THEIR EMPLOYEES ARE REQUIRED TO PUSH PRODUCTS AND GET POINTS EVERY MONTH! THEY JUST CALL IT A DIFFERENT NAME THEN SALES GOALS ! BUT ITS ALL THE SAME THEY JUST HAVEN'T GOTTEN CAUGHT YET.
