Nlr Hump is The best on the system. 2100 to 2800 cars a day. Knowbody else can even touch that.
Alton Southern-12 new hires on monday and 25 switch men/rcl operator's in the coming weeks from what I've been told. Also all other departments will be getting cuts as well with the exception of the signal dept. Yard hasnt been full of freight for a couple weeks.
Anything about NLR hump?
@2rnq UP can't hire or retain quality managers, which is why they're sc-aping the bottom of the barrel in recruiting. It will get worse before it gets even worse.
Commerce will shut down next year. Become a flat switch yard and staging area for manifest and bypass traffic! Facility is big and under utilized! The place is a ghost town. Only two to three small inbounds a day! A nice place with plenty of potential, unfortunately you have completely incompetent people running the yard! What is the prerequisite to running a yard? How many balloon animals you can make in sixty seconds? UP promotes people with no sense nor knowledge of what they’re doing! Would Walmart hire a mechanic with a bachelor’s degree in basket weaving to run the operations regionally? But UP will. They will give a former teacher an intermodal or Transportation facility and make them the boss!
Rumor in Ft Worth is Settegast, and the Miller yard in Dallas are shuttering.
Wait did some guys with high resources here said commerce and dolores were getting shut down🤔😏...Good ol layoff.com
Everywhere!
Cleaning out lockers at Dolores? Man last time i was there, the whole facility was a ghost town. I hope you're right about making room but I highly doubt it
I haven't heard anything but Dolores locomotive shop is cleaning out empty lockers.... total guess on my part BUT it seems like they're making room for people....specifically COMMERCE people....gonna be an interesting winter in the LA basin
