Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Very Happy After LR Moving Customers to Other OEMs

Call it vindication, call it irony. I take great joy with meeting with customers, working through architectural assessments; and helping customers move to other non-Cisco vendors and technologies. It is a big world out there with lots of competitors. There are many Cisco Partners and Account Teams new to the industry, and sadly are in tough positioning of not knowing what they are doing.

Sorry Cisco, You F’d me over, for what? I really tried. I wanted to stay. I will probably make an insignificant dent in taking business away, but these little bits of competitive revenge sure do feel good. Your ex-best friend can become a pain in the @$$ when Mother Cisco finally punts one’s drive and passion out the door.

May others have a same good, competitive post-LR journey.

I'm with you! Many of the Cisco solutions are not the best or the most suitable for a customer's problem, yet those who drank the Koolaid continue to push them out, at exhorbitant prices. I have never been happier than this year, after leaving Cisco. I am sad though, as once this company was great and I loved it. The misogeny, blatant political issues, bad decisions, horrible tools, etc that I was subjected to at Cisco in my last years there has been nonexistent in my new company. Don't be upset if you get laid off, count it as a blessing!

Well-said. I’m doing exactly the same as mentioned in the other thread. It’s a genius move to LR senior talent...but then they don’t consider these second-order effects because they won’t impact the bottom line in the quarter’s results
