Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

An aero company I recently applied to hasn’t had a new topic for about a year.

Honeywell’s thread is on fire!

The loss of jobs and how HON is run is not due to capitalism it's due to the stock market. If Darius owned HON personally and was going to hand it down to his children and great grand children the jobs changes and cuts would only be done it it was in the long term best interest of his heirs

Instead he needs to make monthly decisions to ensure he gets his stock options each year as that may be the last dime he gets from HON. Capitalism makes America great, public companies may be Americans downfall. Just look at the latest public filing on the Honeywell.com Investors page

MM's stock options and prices for his new promotion were posted. At current prices his first year of options would be worth almost $2million in profit Do you think he wants to make sure HON is great for his grandchildren or for his short term stock options?

HON will be GE eventually as the stock market drives it to shorter and shorter term thinking. And private companies strategies will thrive. Eventually the best will rise above, it may just take 100 years, but HON, maybe 5-10 years and their decisions will k–l it. At least in the short term HON did the right thing and dumped Garrett and Resideo. Now they need to dump parts of SPS and keep the dream alive a few more quarters

The prior post is perfectly accurate. The current directors who embraced the transfer of jobs oversees created their own path to the "top". To be fair, most engineers at all levels have also played the transfer of jobs to their benefit or at least gone along willingly to preserve their own careers. The end result is we have all destroyed or at least weakened the engineering profession and career options for new grads and all engineers. Due to capitalism, it is hard to pinpoint where to place the bulk of the blame or how to reverse the trend. Either the CEO has to wake up by failing or the US has to put long term tax/job incentives in place that put a high value on keeping/creating US engineering jobs. The school campaign from elementary school on up that places a high value on STEM breaks down at the corporate level.

Ultimately the war on benefits, salary, career growth, and now even job titles is due to the mass transfer of jobs overseas. The management ranks are filled with cowards and traitors.

Honeywell is working hard to establish a social media presence! This is just evidence of success.
