We have had visitors all week and my sources tell me these are Caterpillar executives along with a couple NS folks. Caterpillar will acquire all buildings and all assets inside including employees. Sorry SCX but the merger is definitely out of the door when this takes place.

You do realize that Cat owns Progress Rail. Progress Rail has a full time rep inside Juniata right now. They have advisors all over the US. Would not surprise me one bit they buy JBS. Norfolk Southern has wanted to unload that place since they bought it. The only reason they have not sold it is because they have received the offer they want. That is changing. NS has been dumping millions in it in upgrades. Wont be long but it is as good as gone

I can confirm, but only this is partly true. Caterpillar to take over the Diesel Shop, Komatsu taking over the Fab Shop, Hitachi taking over the Maintenance Shop, and John Deere headed to the old Car Shop. They are all joining together to form 1 company. It's gonna be Catmatsutachideere! Thousands of jobs coming the Noke!
