If you needed proof of what’s going on, take a look at the new case count reports emails, there’s a new section on the spreadsheet grid labeled “OGS” and the states they are now working marked with Xs. Apparently there are some states that prohibit offshoring for certain roles or all roles, but you better believe that they are working on renegotiating the Contract terms of those states to allow it. If you were wondering where all of the cases are going, there you have it. Management won’t communicate that (or anything at all as of late) but they’re not doing a very good job of hiding it either. The information is there you just have to look.

So shady...
Sometimes they can get around state contracts by having a virtual desktop in said state but the user be offshore
Interesting. I do not get that email but I do know that MO, NE, TN and I believe LA are required to have the nurse be in state. That’s not the case for coordinators as some are in the Philippines. The health plans better stick to their guns and not negotiate to allow people from out of country work our cases. Yes, management is very hush lately, lots of canceled meetings. However the clinical staff seems to remain positive and are willing to “go down with the ship.” This all makes me sick.
Check the other recipients on communication emails you receive too, you’ll see distro lists for OGS and flex teams that are replacing us.
