Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Anniston Alabama Site Closure |Delayed

The Site closure at the Anniston R&O has been delayed with no changes in the OEM's schedule at the Depot.

The financial performance for the R&O was too strong through the 3rd Quarter. Sometimes, even an ignorant farmer will delay k–ling his prize milk cow. You know, the kind of cow that never stops producing milk even when its being starved to death.

This performance will become more difficult to repeat as attrition has spiked across all positions in Anniston. 401k Matches will pay out in January and the job market is very strong.

For the time being Anniston has delayed the inevitable and avoided the butchers knife.

Hey, Anniston wake up! You are existing on borrowed time. The decision has already been made. As my old friend DP used to say "Stick a fork in it,it is done". Don't wait until the last minute to look for your next job. Leave h/w and get on with your life. KS how is your pension looking now?

The Anniston announcement is still delayed. Don’t look for anything until 2020, the leadership doesn’t want to impact hitting the Q4 numbers. Keep on working and blow it out of the water! Make the Aero Leadership take notice and decide to put this project on the shelf!

ALL commercial R&O is being considered for closing and outsourced offshore. There is a big FAA audit coming, and some are saying the findings will be just below what Boeing and the 737 MAX is currently experiencing in the public's eye.

Sad to hear that Anniston R & O is going to be closing, it was my first job after 28 years in the military back in 2011. Had great people to work with and outstanding teams! It was the sucess of those folks that took the site to HOS Silver three moths ahead of schedule. Of course the Aerospace Leadership lackeys care only about the bottom dollar and their precious bonuses. Anyway stay strong Team Anniston....Roll Tide and War Eagle!
