@ 2xhq it’s not that corporate doesn’t know who shops the stores. it’s the fact that we have no vendors with product to do business. how do you create an ad with no product to sell? i’ll wait.

The Black Friday circular, teaser or not, is Exhibit A that proves the marketing team doesn't have the foggiest clue as to walks into the door at any Sears during Thanksgiving, the holidays, or any other day of the year. They have NO idea who shops at Sears whether it's online, in the mall, or in auto. This is even dumber than signing on the Kardashians, when Sears hadn't quite yet lost everyone under 60.

It’s the teaser ad. They usually release full ads later in the month

@11SC0gRm-txz Based on Eddie's nasty reputation as CEO of Sears Holdings I don't blame vendors for not doing business with him or Transformco. This so-called "businessman" burned a lot of people along the way.

Eddie is like fire. Not worth getting burned by him.

1uxa,

Probably wasn’t too clear I don’t mean just the shoe dept aisle. I mean another separate double sided aisle dedicated strictly to Craftsman and Diehard work boots, plus there’s probably another half wall display of them by the craftsman work clothes but that one is split and has a few wolverines as well. There’s actually a lot of wolverines this time around.

I’m more surprised there aren’t shop vacs in there which is why I believe it’s a preview. We’ve gotten like 6 pallets of shop vacs twice in a row and not just the one model in the ad.

@1kdl You only have an aisle of work boots? That's nothing. We put up 25 to 30 tables of DieHard work boots each year. I was told we will be getting a truck next week with nothing but DieHard work boots on pallets on it. I hope they are right otherwise we are screwed like a previous poster stated. Oh, and by the way, I'll believe it when I see it.

It’s a “preview” according to the email.

As far as the boots whatever store doesn’t have them probably will soon. We have a whole aisle of them. Also expect shop vacs, microwaves and vacuum cleaners to be in there tons have come in.

The ad on sites is not the final or full ad.

By far the weakest Black Friday ad EVER. There is absolutely no reason to even think about Sears for the duration of Holiday selling.

The Black Friday ad is a joke. It's only 4 pages long and is basically apparel and footwear with a few tools. We were told the DieHard work boots would not be part of the ad this year and then there are the #84994's on the front page for $49.99. We have almost no inventory of these boots in our store. Even though we are a socal store and near the distribution center for all footwear nationwide, unless we get a huge shipment by next week we are screwed. We have tons of the Wolverine 84907's and 84913's at half price. Should be interesting.

Not true! The preview that went to emails yesterday was a "preview" of the Ad.... They are not going to show their hand this early on what they are selling in Appliances.....

From what I understand, Sears cannot get appliance vendors.
