Managers & Specialist getting unnecesary overtime

I was wondering is our store the only store letting already well paid dept managers and specialist get crazy overtime? we have a LNS staying for about 20 plus hours overtime its annoying especially when part time workers need more hours to survive & maintain their families

Absolutely no unapproved OT in our store for hourly staff. Not sure if we were feed another line of BS but at my store we were told about a month ago that Kronos was now strictly monitoring schedule adherence and that the data was being monitored by corporate. Plus/minus 6 minutes on start time, end time and mandatory one hour lunches or get a "red square". Accumulate five or more red squares in a month and you risk an official write-up. So if you are in the middle of taking care of a customer at the end of your shift and go past your scheduled end time you actually have to get a manager to adjust your schedule or risk getting penalized for taking care of the customer. And the company wonders why moral is going down the tubes. :(

At my store the specialists take their last break 20 minutes before they leave and line up at the time clock making those who are punching in late. As for the department supervisors all of the new ones work their schedules and go home. The ones that were carry-overs from SSM roles are the ones that sit around in the offices and then don’t have time to do their work so they have to work over time.

I'm fulltime & the brunt of the overload these managers are getting are going onto us while they reap the overtime benefit checks. They spend 6 hours doing nothing & then the last 2 hours use the "busy" I have to stay late because excuses. It's like the csa's are the managers and the managers are the csa's with more complaints. Our managers complain like they didnt sign up for those responsibilities

given that corporate is placing more and more demands on this group of individuals, most that youll have no clue about, that probably will explain alot of it. obviously theres always some that abuse it....but for alot of them this isnt a 40 hr a week job even if they WANTED it to be. lots of stress for many who want to do a good job and cant keep up with the massive boulder corporate has placed on their backs

Not in my store. In fact, in fact, i have 3 short days this week and last week.

No complaints, I'm ready to retire soon, so a short day 3x a week is good for me.
