Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Verizon has one major issue: Talent Retention!

This one simple and yet so fundamental.

Folks who have marketable skills would have walked out long ago.

Those who are left are constantly worried about the next round of cuts, unable to focus on their work and fed up with having to take on the additional load left by those who left.

Those who were thinking of joining the company will think twice for the reasons above.

In this business the people are the biggest assets and once you lose them that's pretty much it.

They ran off all the Americans. Doesn't matter your color religion s-xual preferences, if your American your ran off. They've lost all the made the company and it's in a death spiral. 0% sales growth and bankrupt. The big wings are selling all their shares.

You are assuming the people that are giving these retentions know who and what they have under them. With the VSP they accepted a lot of people they shouldn’t have. They came back to several coworkers of mine asking them to reconsider. Not a single one that I know of did. So much talent left ....

Talent is long gone. I can't even remember the last time there was good leadership and the company was innovative.

Retention agreements are used to keep those that they feel can't be easily replaced.
