I think Sadly working in hum means if your are NOT working in a hub

I know some Corporate and SBG IT people that were laid off in 2019 due to Hub Strategy

The hub strategy is real and coming to your SBG and your location soon. It’s not just a CORP IT strategy

Corporate IT is going through at least a 20% RIF to align with HUB strategy

If you are working in Charlotte or Bangalore or the CZ cities you will be laid off this year 2020

If you thought getting IT support or projects done was hard before just wait.

I was laid off in the Redmond RIF in September. Felt bad at the time but found a better job where I am not constantly looking over my shoulder and dealing with long tenured people who control everything so they look good and everyone else looks bad.

4cbt - directors and VPs are doing this to lower management using HR as the executioners . They talk to me about me about Code of Conduct while the code of VPs and directors, and site managers is the Code of the Mafia.
Workers in PR are treated as 3rd class citizens, no severance , lower pay, and half the % of 401k match we get on mainland.

At DV phx, confirmed at least 6 TM in FM&C, my manager moving to regular role. We have no clue who our new TM will be. Looks like target was mostly first line (tier 5) managers. Heard nothing about impacting the abundance of Dir and VPs. There is where cost is wasted.

My CWR manager in Reliability was walked out. They refused to give him the position he applied .... HR decided he was not eligible . At the moment we have no manager , I hear rumor we going to be parted out.

Some people that were laid off already had another job before they left :)

Best. Thing. Ever!

Then to top it off we get an email today from JE with a podcast about how Honeywell is having some brain drain going on... LOL. I don't even think this is incompetence at this point. This is just pure stupidity.

Minneapolis RIFd at least three managers Wednesday. Involuntary. I imagine voluntary manager RIF will leave Friday. ISC RIFd ~8 people. 2 contract engineers and one involuntary amongst the 8.

Me and co-workers get roughly 150% workload and a boss that just pushes. Impossible to do what is asked. Couple people quit. I am trying to get to year end and join them on the outside. Suffering burnout.

I would love to leave. But I can’t because honeywell reneged on the promises made when I hired on regarding pension and health care and other benefits. They hide behind lawyers while they freeze pay and remove benefits from people already retired to raise profit margin. Honeywell makes just short of 50 percent margin on many aerospace products but pensions are frozen at 2015 pay? Stock is up 500% but they can no longer afford to pay health care for people long retired.. and cut them off.
I want what was promised.

@1fdx

The reason people are here is that they have tried to do what the company asked. There is no safety or security at HI "doing what the company asks" as you imply.

I'm sure you were "asked" to hit the one thread on an insignificant website in the whole WWW that mattered today. Your time to leave will come - it is just a matter of time.

It's relatively simple you all.

If you aren't happy here and don't like all these policies and rules... Resign and find work elsewhere.

Why gripe?

Just go find another job that isn't making these kind of rules.

Stop the crying, get out of here. It's you people that make this place horrible. Just do what the company asks and everyone is happy.

Be appreciative of the job you have now. I guarantee you one thing, the people laid off would love the chance to still have a job.
