New insurance company??! STL & ASTL bonuses

Its funny how the rumor is spreading like butter on a hot bagel but no one is saying anything... now it all make sense why taking the PT20 benefits away.. just hoping the FT Team Members doesn't get screw over but the way WFM has been doing things in the past few years its simple for them and corporate to say F the Team Members we get free insurance anyways.. the best line they use now its "is part of our bonus structure"... F you and your bonuses what about 90% of the workers who doesn't get anything???

Yes being fired or quitting you get your PTO payout. But quoting without notice is never a good thing just put in your two weeks and drag a–.

I know right! The number 1 mission statement of WF has always been to collaborate while we RESIST at the same time COEXIST. It’s a form of love so it always wins. Staying in business a second time didn’t make the top ten though.

Yeah if you got illegally fired you are a fool if you didn’t sue. Why should anyone feel bad for you that you took a job knowing it is awful. Nobody forced you into it you decided to apply knowing that leadership is awful at WF. Clearly you didn’t do the correct WF advancement procedure of 1. Kissing a– 2. Having dirt on a superior.

Now that you are an ASTL you realize your only job and the reason you are overwhelmed and overworked is to make the STL look good. Period! You probably don’t get near the credit you deserve and probably get a lot of flack when things don’t go well. But you have the title... how much is that worth to you. STL will always get the praise and credit.

Nice. That’s the same response I got when I pointed out I was being discriminated in pay after I checked the salary/pay database. I was then illegally fire. What a bunch of cowards.

Quit your belly aching you knew what you got into before you took the job. Step down and make more money as a TL if the money is so bad. You made a mistake taking the job try negotiating a better deal before excepting a job next time.

I cringe at some of these responses. ASTL here and like others have mentioned on this board I feel we are under paid. Our bonus structure is virtually nonexistent. I average 55 hours a week. My schedule is all over the place and I'm on call when home. When you look at my hours worked I actually get paid less per an hour than every team leader at my store. I would trade my small bonus for all the extra hours I put in daily any day.

The guy on the cover has his hat on backwards, a nametag on his hat and pocket knife. Great job.

There's also a guy making someone's coffee on page 19 and not wearing a beard guard. I don't want to drink your beard hair.

Recieved the 2020 annual enrollment guide at work today. On page 17 the "tm" is not wearing gloves while holding the bread. So much for food safty at wfm.

STLs make allot of money without bonuses. There are allot of bad ones out there. The STL doesn’t make a huge difference anyway it’s all about the location of the store. You could put the Best STL in a poorly located store and it would have little to no impact.Terrible STLs are in place based on who they know in upper management. They are the ones who consistently fail at there position and just get shifted to another position instead of being let go like they should be. There is no fear at WF once you are part of the click.

Single TMs are getting their PWA amount lowered, but not TMs with families who they have enrolled on the insurance. Seems pretty unfair to penalize TMs who are single. Single TMs are generally less of a burden on the company cost wise for insurance. Seems discriminatory.

We are switching health insurance providers from United to Blue Cross. Single team members will now have $1,300 a year deposited into their PWA accounts instead of the $1,800 we were used to.

You mean they are getting a different insurance company ? Or just different insurance options ? It wouldn’t makes sense to have a different insurance company from a group Claims point of view, Unless they’re getting the option that Amazon employees have

I'm not saying STL bonuses didn't just go up (have been off this week so I don't actually know) but it's highly unlikely that's a direct result of the PT20 health care change. Bonuses for managers are normal across retail, so save your feelings did the actual dumb sh– that keeps happening, like the PT20 cut after saying they were all grandfathered in and safe just recently.

That they get performance based bonuses is not the issue. If they're getting greater bonuses at the expense of the part timers benefits, then yes, it's pretty much a joke...move along

Bonuses aren’t good anymore. There’s a capped bonus structure and when you break it down your better off being a TL. The stock options are nice but isn’t cash you can depend on.

Anyone else agree?

Just like everyone else's comments on this post so far sound like a grumpy low level Tm who won't move up. It's ludicrous to think that the STL's are not getting incentivized. I don't really want to be an STL. They have to deal with so much petty drama it's unreal. Do I work physically harder? Absolutely. Is their job more tedious and draining? Also yes.

STL's have always gotten bonuses based on sales and other metrics. They also received more Amazon stock. Do you think they shouldn't? They run the whole store. In most cases they started as regular Tms and worked their way up. Sure there are a few that s— but they earned those positions and the benefits that come with them.

If those pricks get bonuses (based on WHAT??) We need to walk; but only after they fire us for Organizing. When you have NOTHING to lose, disruption can be a poetic...
