Optum and UnitedHealthcare employees beware: a huge layoff is coming very, very soon. End of October. The entire enterprise is under a HUGE cost cutting exercise for US EMPLOYEES ONLY!! Their model does not include India nor Philippines, so those places are safe. This upcoming layoff could be one of the largest the company has ever seen. Get your resumes up to date and current. Where are the 3 phases coming from? This just happened in c&s today but they said there would not be anymore layoffs
How could this happen? What about Severances? This is just horrible... so many years growing this business up. What a slap in the face.
M&R Compliance let 26 people go.
I know of individuals in service, account management, and claims who were also let go. No seeming accounting for quality either, they let some of the top people walk.

We just lost good people in our specialty benefits dept. Appeals supervisor and a claim supervisor. Thing is, our dept is swamped with work. What is leadership doing by condensing these positions and giving people more work?

I know someone who lost their job today. Been with them 22 years. How coward to call hundreds of people and lay them off on a single phone call.

teams i know of around my general area of MN look like in the neighborhood of 10% losses with focus on administrative/quality roles but i don't know how wide that holds, around the 26-28 grade level range from what i see
