I wish I wasn't, but I admit I am. I'm so tired of Sam's Club and all the stressing that comes with the job here. So if there are more layoffs or positions cuts and I'm a part of it, it's going to feel like Christmas to me. And I know a lot of people who feel the same way.

Amazon prime airports are opening! Good money.. good benefits.. pick your days and hours! It's not like working in the distribution center . A heck of a lot better than Sam's! I walked out and don't look back!
- Stay away from lead and management positions. The pay is not as great as it is made out. Plus under the new pay system if you "have to step down" your pay will be impacted majorly.
- Only work your shift and no overtime unless you are asked to. If you need to work overtime do no more then what you are asked to. The reason for this is because managers will in a heart beat write you up if you work a minute more.
- In regards to #2 once your shift is over and your relief is not there or has called off. Let the manager on duty know your shift is over and you need to A) Pick up your kids, B) Go home and take your medication, C) Have an appointment you must be at, D) Need to go home to let your pet out, E) Have a pet that needs their medication and they could die and this pet has been with you for 10 years or more, F) Have a emergency phone call that you need to take care of, G) Someone else needs your only car to get to their job, H) You were told no overtime and do not want to get written up (again), I) Can't afford to get any more points in regards to the attendance program, J) Have to get your class, K) Have a paper you need to turn in, L) Your parole officer does not like it when you are late for check in times.
- Severance pay is not that great and in the end what is taken out for taxes leaves you with very little to even survive for a month. Plus it will also depend on your state in regards to the payout. Unless you are in a immediate payout state, the money just dribbles out. In other words have an exit plan or start making one.
- There is life after the club. If you have to flip burgers for a while to keep a paycheck coming in do that as a quick fix. Fast food places will hire anyone who can fill out an application.
Easy peasy paycheck!! I'm staying
Do not be scared to leave that Trash Can (Sams Club), if you stay you will only regret it. I spent 26yrs working at Sams, in the past it was a nice place to work but over time the parasites who nest at the top of the food chain have decided to turn there backs on the associates and cater to the “ millionaires who are the shareholders and the pigeons who sit on the board... After the 1st week I didn’t have to work there my smile returned to me, life is so much better now.... It’s going to be scared taking that 1st step but the 2nd step will be happiness.....
I was in your spot. Too scared to quit... I was on the audit team and when they let us go I was still too scared. I got a position in Cafe. Afterwards I regretted staying and wished I could have just too my severance and left. Then I got my second chance at happiness. We were one of the lucky ones who got their club closed. I never thought twice. I left the company and I'm so happy I did. When you get your chance, do the same. It's amazing!
