Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

verizon india is a clown-show

Man, what's the point of working day in and day out when ultimately you don't even feel safe about your position in the company. I recently joined as an Architect in Verizon India and why do people call it "Very - John" or "Vey-Ri-jan" . Seriously ? And people are not so good technically ..Is this the quality we are providing to our employees and customers? I am working 10 hours on an avg right now to settle in but it's really hard. One of my colleagues told me to visit this website and I can understand what pain everyone is going through. Endless meetings, so much red-taping and silos and ultimately clueless people everywhere. I'm shocked indeed. Thanks for reading, Veri-jhon folks

I left the company sometime back and life hasn't been better. Outside , the industry has grown at a light speed. Hope you find some inspiration too and are able to break free from the shambles of your despair. Anyhow, I would say keep working hard

You see, that’s the problem right there.
You expected this monster of a corporation to be at the pinnacle of the field.
But in this new day, what matters most is looking very, very busy. Far too busy. Nearly frantic. Just look the part, and say things like “we have to get this out of the garage” and “your perspective is keen” “that is great for the team!” And other platitudes to appease the huge appetite for BS that corporate has.
Hell, tell people your hobby is drawing the Company logo on your bedroom walls
All the world is a stage, and we are merely players.
But never, ever, confuse what you do with who you are.
Good luck!
