If they're cutting managers, what will happen to the Optical manager?

I sense jealousy from some of these comments, lol! Learn a trade and quit hating.
Even if Optical gets bought or sourced out, we have skills and will just go to the next
spot and earn the same wage.
Looks like optical will be run by a 3rd party in the near future. My guess is Hoya. Good luck overpaid optical staff, Hoya doesn’t pay much!
Nothing will happen to the Optical managers. If anything, they will get rid of Optical Market Managers.
If you need to swipe in for your shift. It is just a job title with positional authority with limitations.
The company is leaning more towards something that used to happen 30 years ago but was did away with because it took too many employees out of their areas. Plus the liability issues were eating at the old bottom line.
A long time ago businesses used to check customers out and even take the customers stuff to their cars.
Photo and Optical are just in the way and more space will be given to club pick up.
Our optical manager isn't even regarded as a real manager. He covers door breaks and no one thinks of him as a real manager. Even though he likes to tell you that he is a manager and can do anything that the other ones do. I have never seen a real manager cover the door.
They'll be left to rot in the sun like yesterday's roadkill in southern Texas in August.
Though, you might want to check with the 40% of the company's senior pharmacy staff members who were similarly abandoned and punished for their loyalty to the company last July for verification.
Those who live under the delusion that this company cares about you or your family because of all of your sacrifices you've made to them need to wake up.
