Cuts September 30

Anyone have information on cuts that happened today in Mobility and whether it was any other organizations?

I have information. I don't today care about any layoffs, across any OEM. I put in my time, found my way. Very successfully.

Everyone else's turn. Good luck.

Speechless - Just wait for 2020, it will make 2019 look like a picnic.

It has nothing to do with knowledge or usefulness, it has everything to do with being close to retirement age (but not past the 30-year mark). By the way, we are still hiring younger people ... oops ... I mean "people with fresh ideas".

They keep going lower. They were supposedly putting their “best people” on mobility projects so it seems they would move some of these people into the many posted open positions. Of course moving them might go against the “under 30” hiring strategy.

Not surprised that this is what it has come to. I doubt the PRP program will ever come back, given this new behavior. Everyone had their chance earlier in the year.

S—s - but this is how most companies handle headcount reduction for the drones.

Wasn't Mobility supposed to be the "Future" and where the growth and new kind of Ford employee was needed. Autonomous, Electric etc might be next on the chopping block using this "logic". The employees in these areas were just put on notice that "no group is safe".

No notice to the employees either. Also something new to watch out for.

Farley and the design, marketing teams have had a hard time with product inception. Vehicles not resonating with customers. Incentives needed, margins too low. Distress marketing needed because very few outside Ford are celebrating the brand or the new products.

So they blame the process rather than take responsibility. Agile is the silver bullet that will fix everything
