They are testing salaried marketing managers in 1 or 2 clubs per market. They are based salary at 35 to 38k with bonus if they mean their goal per month, coordinator goes away. I dont think they will be cutting the front end managers just moving one. Why would 1 front end manager get every front department besides maintenance and marketing and the other just got those two back in May. Photo to be removed by March. Membership moves to Photo and club pick up moves to membership.
I'm not sure where youall get your information but the new position will be salary. They will take over the front end Managers job eventually. Base pay for managers will not change. When all the manager cuts are done., teamleads will become the new support managers for less pay. It's all about saving the bucks folks.
It's crazy how you guys come on here believing every little thing. Then when it doesn't happen you get mad because it was a troll. Someone post something else and you're all over it believing everything again. Yes managers will be laid off but it won't be next week.
I can tell you dont work for Sams. Our week starts on Saturday and runs thru Friday. Just like our schedule.....
So if marketing lead is being eliminated , does that mean severance for them?
Marketing LEADS will not go salary. They are being eliminated. The GMs were directed not to fill any open Advantage Coordinator or Marketing lead position months ago. The position people are referring to is already out in some clubs and it’s a salaried. Right now they have the new salaried manager working with the marketing team. Once the marketing team goes away this manager will take over. They work mostly Monday-Friday at a lower salary than other managers but with bonus potential from what they bring in.
The assistant manager cut is going to happen next week. One now and another one in January. They plan on raising the base pay for managers up to $58.5k.

Marketing Leads will become Salary. My Manager told me. Don’t know the exact date to confirm it. Advantage Coordinator will be at the Membership Desk.
