Is it irony or hypocrisy that Charlie is OK with himself working remote in his new job?
Depends on your how jerky is your manager. Some allows it while others move to eliminate it. Is there a way to fight this since it creates inconsistency among employees?
In my opinion the likelihood of an employer allowing for WFH is mostly tied to the difficulty in otherwise replacing the employee. The job market is very tight now so they are more likely to do it.
Take for instance our old CEO. Wells Fargo couldn’t find anyone to take the job and they were desperate.... so they let him WFH.
Old CEO bungled the issue badly. He should have picked people off a couple at a time and understood the UK labor contracts. He and his HR were evidently not detail oriented.
I've WFH the same number of days each week before, during, and after Scharf.
