AES is nothing more than a check box. If no one takes it the company still wins and managers still get a nice big Samshare. If you take it an complain and go to the left, congrats you just outed yourself.(When the survey was first started you could take it somewhat anonymously. However now you have to login under your profile and that is not anonymous.)

A +1 to iuvm "The AES has become a complete waste of time. They do it so the associates feel better that someone is pretending to actually listen to them." I agree an associate at my club was upset and a manager told them do the survey and voice your concerns that you want addressed.

Those blue baskets are a joke. It's a store which sells stuff in bulk and they want you to fit it in a basket that barely has room for two loaves of bread.

Plus dragging those baskets around the store, trying to fill orders is beyond ridiculous.

A$E hats.

If you think all managers would rather you not take the survey you are wrong and the ones that don't want associates taking it or the ones who are trying to get moved up in this god forsaken company. I don't know of any manager who thinks all these changes are good and there is more on the way. I've told everyone I can about the survey and I asked them to be honest. We all know the results if everyone is honest and the company could care less. Not one thing is going to improve how this company is being ran but it is a excellent PR move. We have a whole crew that was lied to about getting off at 11:30 pm each night that does not happen. The person sitting up that made that choice has obvious never worked at a Sams and most likely came from the Wal-Mart side. I see a lot of that going on now that they are trying to run Sam's as though it was Wal-Mart. Click and Pull is growing every week and now they are suppose to use they blue crates that basically will not hold much more than a case of water and that makes no sense what so ever.

The AES survey does do some good, especially this year. It tells what works and what doesn’t. You may not see changes immediately, does not mean it won’t. Large changes would go through experts
Weighing pros and cons. Sams is a corporation. If you don’t complete the survey you won’t have anything to complain about. Do tell the truth. This is the first year after major changes in the company. They know they will have to finesse things. Be apart of the solution not the problem.
Have you asked the club managers what you can do to help?

Each club only needs to have 15 to 17 associates to complete the survey. Preferred is that at least 1 to 2 associates from each group responds to the survey.

The survey carries no weight what so ever and has no impact whether the minimum requirements are met. Bottom line even if the survey score is below the company minimum it will not impact management in any way. So in other words managers will get their share regardless how associates feel.

Last year at the club I am at the initial score was 68%. Company minimum needed to be 75%. When the results were posted it stated we were at 72%. Three months later and fewer associates the score went to 76% and we were told alot had changed and more was on the way.

In 2017 and 2018 associates were actually asked by managers on how they would answer the questions. No one has even mentioned the current survey yet. No surprise there.

Took mine today and it wasn't good. Then added some long long comments about the whole thing. Now if they really care I know we have way more people not satisfied than we have that are so if they really care they will something about the c-ap going on. But we all know they don't give a c-ap about us.

This survey NEVER resolves ONE thing. I have been taking it for 20 years and the Club is still the same POS that it ever was.

We actually had a manager, last night after the club closed and all members out, announced the AES Survey link was on home page of the wire, asked all to take and answer truthfully. Then tell your fellow associates to take the survey. We have a couple of awesome managers.

Seems pointless. My club never told us what our last AES survey score was, nor or any meetings held.

If anyone that has an opinion on this site please be honest on the AES! I don’t know if it will be heard or not but at least we can can complain about it where someone might actually pay attention to it! I did it yesterday and I hope that they know who I was. I would love to talk to them face to face about how they are destroying this company! I just wish I could have signed it! just sayin

The managers that don't 'advertise' it already know what their associates are going to say. I hear some managers actually watch their associates take it so 'true' opinions aren't recorded.

There is an old quote incorrectly attributed to Mark Twain, "If voting made a difference, they wouldn't let us do it. "

The history of this quote is here for anyone interested: https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/mark-twain-voting-quote/

In the same vain, if the AES actually created a better work environment for the associates the Home Office would immediately get rid of this waste of time.

Mr. Sam held to the philosophy that the greatest idea generators were the associates themselves. This has no longer been true for several decades. The Home Office has too many mo–ns in higher positions that get paid far too much that come up with ideas that won't work because they have never worked in a store or club. The only time they step into stores and clubs is when there is an issue so then can criticize the leadership because their (HO) policies aren't working.

The AES has become a complete waste of time. They do it so the associates feel better that someone is pretending to actually listen to them.
