Icahn the TWA overlord?
Never heard of him
I live in a world where action means more than meme’s and Facebook campaigns (Wall St worked out well right?)
It means I’m not looking for a participation ribbon with my SJW brothers and sisters
So we can tell each other how we roar and “like” the message.
I’ll look for an opening that can do some damage. I think it will come.
If it doesn’t then so be it but I’m willing to see this through legally if it can be
You do your “snowflaking” with the kids and leave the adults to take care of what needs to be done.
Best of luck
Rest your tweeting fingers though. You’ll need those

What fantasy are you living in that you believe a single corporation crumbling will change the future. It MIGHT make headlines for a day if no other politically current news overpowers it. The crumbling of past corporations Icon took over did not change the future. All it did was leave tens of thousands unemployed. Only if you make this news before the crumbling is there the hope of something different happening.
Suggest you really understand the Icon history before you speak any further.

Thousands already have lost their jobs
As many as 6500 from the last “transition”
My view is take the fight to them because everyone is already doomed if they wish it so
Be the décider of your fate.
If Xerox crumbles, it sends the message for corporations to hear. ALL of them
I keep reading how good the employment rate is and how everyone should just move on and let it go but I’m sure they are all the ones still with a job
Funny how it’s so odd to suggest fighting it to watch them fall but it’s strongly suggested to just move on and let it continue to others and more companies
You can spin wheels and be a social justice warrior hoping for some publicity that will go nowhere and you get a little trophy for it or you can get collected and get organized, sue the h-l out of this rotten company if the opening is created and bring the failure of greed to the ground for others to follow
The class action in NY was from one shareholder with 460 shares
He’s the example
Follow that
Everyone should.
Stay focused
Stay on top of the hearing Nov 19

This is @3fkb.
I am not a current Xerox employee; so bad assumption on your part. I left yeas before this new leadership took over.
What would I like 3mih to say, here are some ideas:
I’m leading or trying to form a group of people who will make this a political issue. If in the US, I believe some examples are the recent “me too” movement. So yeah, gather a poster, speak to the media, speak to your political rep or say your working with an attorney to file a law suit like the person did for the current lawsuit going before a judge in November.
Just don’t wish and openly say I hope the company fails (jenga blocks tumble) that result in thousands of employees losing their job when only a few at the top have created the mess.

I’m not sure what you expect 3mih to say about what they are doing.
Do you want them to say they are gathering a posse?
I would think there are legal plans in the making and watching Nov 19th very closely for outcomes to move further.
I also suspect what this person is doing is trying to suggest others to not just lay down and take it.
I for one am not the “just get another job and move on” type when it’s not based on fairness or understanding of a real business need.
I am also someone that would say something is wrong if it is and not turn my head so not to be a troublemaker. Wrong is wrong and not saying something about it, and doing nothing about it, is how this kind of thing happens to others.
Xerox is in serious legal and financial trouble and hoping you get to keep your job while others lose theirs isn’t the right thing to do.
You know it
I know it
We all know it
Choose a side
I have.

This is 3fkb again:
I agree with 1chu to watch for what happens in November. This is ACTION that someone is taking and the courts agree that there needs to be changes. What those changes are may or may not be decided November.

@3mih
What actions are You taking to DO something about this other than messages on this board?
What Actions did 1chu say they were taking in their post to DO something other than wish for the demise of a company?
When you and 1chu aren’t talking about actions (not words of revenge wishing) you are taking to prevent what is happening from continuing or actions you are taking to prevent it from happening in the future; how can you wish for all these thousands of people be out of a job simply because you believe it would be revenge against those forces making the decisions? I simply don’t understand your response?

Are you suggesting the person you are responding to say or do nothing about Xerox and perhaps just cower to the few that changed thousands of lives for greed?
What for?
So you keep your job?
You would have no issue in it happening to you and then happening maybe to your son or daughter as well?
Is that your way of life?
Close your eyes and it goes away?
I agree with the person that says to watch it crumble
Maybe you should think of watching the deserved action rather than turning your head while it happens to everyone else.

Seems you may have more in common with Icon and the board you speak so negatively about than you do with the employees working hard to keep the company going. Anyone who wishes the demise of a company that would cause economic hardship to thousands of employees and their families is heartless, cold, and selfish ( look in the mirror..do you see Icon?)

Don’t forget that Nov 19th might hold a few snags into any plans about HP as well
There’s still a billion dollar lawsuit from FX
There’s still some decisions about Icahn and Deason’s “Board” and how that could possibly be thrown out
Jacobson’s personal blunders with FX are still legally in the air and the old Board had his back in that so holds XRX accountable
Lots of unsettled issues still in the way of a clear merger of any kind
After Nov when we all have more info, a path might be easier to see
If there’s one that still allows XRX to survive and I’m hoping it crumbles like a Jenga tower.

And now you know why the board decided on an insulting two year bonus instead of cost of living pay rises, so it would lower the redundancy costs.

@11lVfc55-1ouy - to the contrary. I would suspect the 15% reduction in hp's workforce over the next three years is in large part because they are planing to acquire xerox. the recent xerox hcl rebadging is due in part to hp acquiring xerox. they are eliminating overlapping roles. I believe xerox and hp have a plan to get their homes in order so the dirty work is done before the acquisition, so they can be successful out of the gate after the deal is done,

there is a plan for icahn to exit with his money. it may not happen right away, but there is a plan.

With the recent layoff announcement at HP (7 - 9 K employees) highly doubtful if there will be any interest in buying Xerox or Fuji Xerox. HP needs to take care of HP. I'm curious how this will affect the current relationship between HP and Xerox. HMMMM???

the plans for the company were outlined by darwin deason back in may 2018 when the fuji deal was reversed and he went on bloomberg tv for an interview.
xerox worst run company in his career - https://youtu.be/z-s0JdQH8TQ?t=103
john v was hired to run an auction to sell xerox - https://youtu.be/z-s0JdQH8TQ?t=166
they wanted to sell to a private equity firm or competitor - https://youtu.be/z-s0JdQH8TQ?t=238

ok you seriously think with the amount of outsourcing in process that there will not be a major decline in revenue and customers, this company is now a complete joke!

I believe it. Around the time of the Jacobson debacle there was a report in the press that Icahn had originally planned to quickly flip the company, as he often does. I believe he thought split Conduent, make some quick cuts, sell for a profit. Once he had his people in, they quickly realized th wouldn't work. They had no other strategy, and seem unable to develop one.

icahn and deason don't have 2-3 years to wait. the fuji contract is up next year. if they wait until 2022 to sell the company, and the fuji contract expires next year, what will we sell for 2 years? nuvera and baltaro in every office! in a perfect world they may like to sell in 2022, but the upcoming election, potential recession and a 1 billion dollar lawsuit from fuji may force that timetable up a year or two.

Something like organizational or operational efficiency. Basically the 3rd round of employee reductions and supposedly to be done before year end.

Not sure why people are not believing this. Honest communication is literally radio silent. If anything is said it is that “poof- we are a tech powerhouse” they just forgot to tell us to click our heels three times while saying!
This is not surprising since these so called leaders are ALL outsiders with no history with Xerox or allegiance to anything except the almighty dollar! All it is is sad for the hard working long time employees that will all get screwed by this debacle!
