Of course there will be more layoffs. And of course the bosses are telling employees there won't be anymore! The company isn't going to tell us there are more layoffs because we would all walk! They will lie to our faces until they stab us in the back. No one is safe! Utah is a right to fire state. They don't need a reason to let you go. You can be the best employee and still get kicked to the curb.

1gxw if u get laid off u don't payback tuition reimbursement. I used it to get my degree (thankfully) and did not have to pay a dime when I got laid off and even got the money I was approved for and had submitted a claim for a week before my layoff! Just prepare yourself because u never know when your number will be called.

There are many factors impacting if people stay or leave. Many do not want to give up tenure, more PTO, and actually enjoy working for the company. Personally I cannot leave or I’d owe a large sum for tuition reimbursement. So I will have to stay put and wait for what’s to come. I am also held by the 12 month rule to apply for another position/move internally. We are told over and over “no news, business as usual”. They drop a bomb threatening our job and just play the stupid card. So everyone doesn’t jump ship.

@11m7K2Zb-gyi You would think so, but since 50% of my team had left due to attrition since January (they couldn't handle the PTSD of worrying everyday over layoffs and the expectation of mgmt to do the work of 3 people/non verbal hiring freeze management will not acknowledge) it didn't stop us from losing 3 people Wednesday. So that theory is bunk.

But if there are more layoffs coming, it seems logical to say so, let people find other jobs and resign, thus fewer layoffs...?
