Hold the door open...ask if they like for you to load it also.
More than likely they have "insurance" for theft and can get tax write-offs. So, in general, the company is still getting their money. Probably more.
How much money do they dock you for shrink? None? Then why do you care? The company exploits you literally every second you spend there. You couldn't get even with them if you tried. So don't bother caring, because they don't care about you.

All you can do is offer customer service. Who cares if $50 woth of shrink walks. Make it up in sales
Rule #1. Never try to “stop” them. Simply offer customer service and nothing more. If they become aggressive, leave the area immediately. Then report the incident to management.
Rule #2. If you ever feel you are in danger, you personally have the right to call the police on the individual. That does not require any store level approval.
Otherwise, let them steal. Marvin and Joe don’t care so why should you? Don’t take it personal.

Let them walk! Lowe’s made it very clear that they don’t care about theft when they eliminated the majority of LP personnel nationwide. Marvin basically sent out a blanket invite to shoplifters nationwide!!!
