Here's a thought experiment for everyone: imagine that the executive team came out first thing tomorrow morning, apologized for the negative effects of PSR and stopped it, pledged their dedication to a new and dynamic culture of safety, and then codified designated days off/sick leave/etc into the company operating culture. They would even offer to throw in pay raises and bring back many furloughed employees.
Would you trust them to keep their word after all they have done?
Sometimes the damage caused by poor decisions is permanent. There is probably nothing that the current executive team can do to rebuild the trust in leadership that has been shattered by their scorched-earth approach to PSR/UP2020.
