Next round of layoffs

Does anyone know when the next round of layoffs will take place? So ready to be done with Zerox.

Keep this phrase in mind “Thanksgiving week parade”

Do layoffs, or whatever forms of reductions, usually happen before or after an earnings report? I think it's after from my recollection, so I doubt we'll see anything before next Tuesday. At least that's when I think the earnings call is. I don't think they usually jump on the reductions right after though, I would expect somewhere around Thanksgiving or shortly afterward, but before the end of the year.

Though as said elsewhere, Xerox hasn't really been doing VRIF/IRIF it seems lately. They will try to reassign to HCL or force an undesired move to NC, thus resulting in the lack of severance pay if the HCL job is accepted, or the NC move is rejected. With the minimal severance package now in place, I don't see why they would jump through hoops to avoid paying it.

@anet I feel like you're right. We've had two senior management(one a vp) resign in the last week at our core. Seems like they knew something and didn't want to be here when it happened. Can't get answers and nobody talking about replacing them or other organizational changes yet. Earnings conference call is next week too.

It feels like something big is happening next week. Lots of chatter, hush hush.from management, no short term easy decisions are being made. Perhaps just the usual before an earnings report, but it feels like more.

This is all gut feeling, I'm not privy to anything more.

Nobody is getting laid off anymore. You’ll be handed over to HCL first. Sometime next year.

@2ziy If that's true we should apply Lean Six Sigma.

Xerox got out of the Production Controller development business when they sold FFPS to EFI two years ago.

You are obviously very intelligent @Java Programmer! I have a smart idea! How about you write a production print controller using Java and Swing class libraries! OMG Java applets! Fire up that Eclipse IDE and show the world what a Tech Powerhouse is!
