I had no idea how hard it would be or how long it would take to find a decent position comparable to Honeywell wages, but Thank God, I just accepted an offer today. I'll miss my Honeywell family, and the job I truly loved..... (repeatedly tried to get reinstated - {put in 2 weeks notice, left on what I thought was good standing} but have been turned down from every angle trying to return. And up until today, I was still hoping and praying to be able to "go back home to honeywell". Desperation for a job will take you there. I'm moving on for good now. It is freeing to finally be able to "let go". For everyone else that is left there, do what you feel you need to do and what is right for you. Think long and hard about your decision because even though I left in good standings, mother Honeywell permanently kicked me to the curb, and for that, I am honestly grateful to finally move on. @11wJ1DPF-1dhv Isn't it sad that you have to work somewhere (even if you don't enjoy it) just for the benefits?
I got 29 months till I hit 65 yrs, 11 months till I hit the COBRA point where I can be on that till I'm 65 if I leave early.
I wanted/needed to go back, like I said, out of DESPERATION. The job market isn't as "sweet" in some places at it is in others. So, the point in the matter IS, If you're pulling in a paycheck, and a halfway decent one at that, don't let go of it.
The hub is wherever they want it to be. There is no consistency where they repost Jobs for closed sites.
Why would you want to come back to Honeywell hen they kicked you to the curb? Yes, unemployment stinks and you have to do what you have to in order to put food on the table, but still. Is Honeywell the only company in your town? Not for long... unless you are in Charlotte or a hub. Best of luck on your new job though... it’s not fun being unemployed.
I’m not sure what the point and accuracy of this is. I’m seeing people leaving, almost weekly, at a minimum of 20% pay increase.
Maybe it’s hard to find a job when you’re unemployed?.
