Why is Sam’s Club getting rid of all computers? Why were we not given notice ? All the work for 9 years is gone.

They better figure out a way to do exchange on iPad and not just be giving them gift card. People will not like that. They also better figure a way to give cash back and take checks for credit payments. I feel like this is about to become a headache.
All BYOD clubs are getting 30 of the new handhelds. Non BYOD clubs are getting 40 new handhelds. That’s why SOME of the computers are going away, they won’t be needed. It’s on the wire, read it and stop speculating.
I wiil not use my phone.
Well we are run by id–ts.
They are just making it easier to clear out buildings once we close.
One word.... BYOD.
Ooops forgot not all states can use BYOD. Well now we have our starting point for which clubs need to be closed.
Take all the computers away put everything on BYOD, which again limited especially for hourlies. Ipads are the future as long as you only need to print what you are allowed to print.
Also for Ipads we all know these will never have any issues. And besides everything you need is on a TC70. Now pardon me but I have to walk the club and call over the radio 100 times I need a TC70 should have one 5 minutes before my shift ends.
What excuse are the managers going to have for sitting in the office now
Guess all the new items from the dry dc trucks will go into the steel then if I can’t run the pre notes to see what is hot. All ready put new items into the steel because the new way to key stuff in doesn’t show what is hot. ASN is the only way to key stuff in and know it’s new and it shows every pallet of the new item is new so some times two pallets of a item get left down.
That's how they're going to push using the app on your phone also. I'm still not going to use it!
So much for working the reports. Half the claims inventory isn't even loaded in the app, have to look up claims on hand report every day to know what's really in there. Can't view that in handheld terminal menu
Yep, love it. Make the screens smaller, because everyone has perfect vision. And be sure to give us something that breaks easily. Someone broke one and rest have various problems. I'm not putting in tickets when I have to type my message the one finger way.
Can't print member's past receipts from the tablets. (Requested all the time.)
Can't look up anything in Cash Management - and believe me, desk workers need to be able to do this.
Can't print a paper pick list.
Can't print anything off the wire.
Can't do a purchase history.
No more Microsoft Word or Excel
There is so much you can't do on the tablets, it's ridiculous. Sure you can make a quick membership, look at plus money, but the member better not think about asking for a print out. I can even do a return, as long as it isn't an exchange or was paid for with a check or cash, or the member got rid of that credit card, on and on.
Members ask us all the time to write their names on their membership cards. Maybe it's that they don't feel connected to the membership without the name or their not getting their money's worth. I can't explain it, but without the name on the card, they act like something is missing.
Confirmed from amp claims marketing ptc both manager office computers going plus many more.
As for as TC70s go we do not have enough as it is. Now they are add more people to use the few we have. This is not going to happen. I would love to do these changer if we had the equipment.
All my files for marketing gone
I can't even print on the ipads
We can do everything from the TC70s now. We need to get use to using them like we did smart, will make work that much smoother. Layouts, emails, notes etc.
Yeah wondering to what computers?
Has something else happened? What about computers? Selling or the ones the associates use?
Last straw. Two weeks notice.
