I thought cisco benefits would keep me there, but they are not the industry best, health is way too high and they cut back all the expenses for commuting. I make almost twice as much now I left and have better benefits at least cost. I do miss the low expectations and no accountability, only worried about LR cause I would have to do work if I leave.

You're missing two...Severance Package (of variable value and contents depending on your geography) and Outplacement Support (when you get LR'ed)...oh, and a day off on your birthday.

Some of these may apply outside the U.S. but certainly not at Corporate in San Jose, i.e., free lunch, sabbaticals, pension plan, company car. Stock Options were converted to RSUs years ago and generally apply to Grade 12 and above only.

Yeah, I got a company car, a beat up 2001 Nissan Micra.

Stock Options? (not any more. Not for a long time).
Free lunch or snacks? (where is this happening? It never happened in BXB).
Company car? (I never had one).
Sabbatical? (for who?)
Pension Plan? (what is that? AFAIK, we only had 401k).
Health Care on-site? (Not in BXB).
